LOL, but seriously! Since I’ve seen some new faces around. Let me introduce myself. I’m Monique, but y’all can call me Moeuvin or Moe — that’s the name that sticks! Hailing straight outta Brooklyn, born and raised, I made my way to the Queen City (Charlotte) right in the midst of that wild pandemic. How’s a city girl like me settling in Charlotte? Well, let me tell yall, this city stole my heart! Charlotte’s got that gorgeous weather, amazing quality of life, and it’s been an absolute blessing for my soul. I’ve been in this “let’s stay in” phase, but I’m ready to be outside!
So, by day, I’m a Project Manager Maven. But when the sun sets, my creative vibes are still in full swing, 24/7. I’m also juggling a side gig as a Project Manager for fellow creatives. Plus, I’m working on this amazing vision that God has dropped in my lap. Trust me; you’ll need to stick around to get all the deets on that exciting adventure.
So, let me take you back a bit. I am a stoop kid from the side blocks of ENY in BK, dreaming big dreams from day one. Growing up, I always knew there was more to life than what I saw around me. As a little girl, my dream was to break free from the struggles my parents faced.
Travel? I fantasized about it, but I thought it was just a distant dream back then. Where I come from, folks hardly hopped on planes and jet-setted like I’ve been blessed to do. Traveling? It’s one of my love languages… I even got a tat to prove it!
Boss girl vibes? Oh, I had those since forever. I’m talking captain of school safety, a part of the leadership gang, and even the senior class committee. And that’s just the start — I wanted to kickstart my own club, like the Babysitter’s Club, run a lemonade stand, and try my hand at the nail game for a hot sec (spoiler alert: that didn’t quite pan out, LOL).
For the love of people! Helping people grow has been my thing since day one. From lending a hand with projects to being the go-to shoulder to lean on, I’ve worn many hats. I cooked up training programs, hosted workshops, and lent a hand in ways you wouldn’t believe. It’s like I was born to be a support system! Looking back, it’s no wonder that empowering women I hadn’t even met became a big piece of my puzzle.
Now, what makes me tick? Well, that’s shifted a bit lately, and I’m still wrapping my head around it. See, growth sometimes means outgrowing stuff that used to light us up. So, what’s on my “love” list? Well, let’s start with jet-setting (always), cooking up a storm, long drives (new obsession), soaking up nature’s beauty, cherishing my alone time (new vibe), hanging with fam, playing fairy godmother to my amazing godchildren (all 8 of ‘em!), diving into uncharted waters, spreading those empowerment vibes, riding this spiritual wave I’m on, reading (audiobooks are my ADHD BFF), taking long strolls, hitting up cute coffee spots, and dancing my heart out, music is another love language especially some 90s music and Soca!
Family? Oh yeah, I am def a family girl. But don’t be fooled; there have been some bumps in the road. Who hasn’t dealt with family drama? Am I right? Still, I’m forever for my fam — just setting some healthy boundaries, ya’know?
Alright, I am straightforward. I’m all about good vibes, down-to-earth chats, tons of laughter, and being that rock-solid friend you can count on. I’m loyal, loving, determined, and, let’s not forget, a hardworking hustler. Oh, I’m still evolving, babes — the best chapters are yet to be written! So you might hear some slick-ish out my mouth and an occasional attitude (especially if I have been on too long! I have a cap for people time). also, don't put me on speaker; I can't be held responsible for what others hear, lol.
